11 Days Borderless Safari to Tanzania and Kenya
Day 1: Arrival in Kenya
You arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport; JKIA, an international airport in Nairobi, the capital of and largest city in Kenya. This marks the start of the 11 Days Borderless Safari to Tanzania and Kenya. JKIA is located in the Embakasi suburb 18 km southeast of Nairobi’s central business district. There you meet our professional guide who will transfer you to the hotel of your choice in Nairobi for next day’s trip to Amboseli National Park.
Day 2: Nairobi to Amboseli National Park
Wake at sunrise, take your breakfast at your hotel and depart Nairobi for Amboseli National Park. A 5 hours’ drive to Amboseli. Crowned by Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak, the Amboseli National Parks is one of Kenya’s most popular parks. The name “Amboseli” comes from a Maasai word meaning “salty dust”, and it is one of the best places in Africa to view large herds of elephants up close. You head to the hotel of your choice for check in and lunch. After lunch you start a short introduction to the game drive. Amboseli is famous for its big game and its great scenic beauty; the landscape is dominated by the towering Mount Kilimanjaro Amboseli has over 80 different mammals to be found ranging from the tiny spectacled elephant shrew to the huge bulk of the African elephant, lions, cheetah and buffalo amongst others. Few visitors will go home without superb elephant pictures with Kilimanjaro as a backdrop. There are over 400 bird species.
Day 3: Amboseli National Park
Wake up at sunrise; enjoy your hotel breakfast before proceeding with the game drive within Amboseli National Park. This is a full day safari in the park and lunch will be picnic lunch. The park is not only home to the Big Five, but also a rich play field of diverse wildlife and vegetation ranging from antelopes, monkeys, hyenas, giraffes, crocodiles, peacocks and ostriches. Day 4: Amboseli National Park – Kenya to Lake Manyara National Park – Tanzania
Wake up early for early breakfast, check out the hotel room, depart Amboseli park for Namaga border to head to Lake Manyara National Park. Lake Manyara National Park is well known for the tree climbing lions, the soda ash lake and its flamingos. The lunch will be picnic lunch. At the Nagama border you get the visa to cross to Tanzania. This will take around 40 minutes or less. Lake Manyara National Park has a big number of elephants, giraffes; zebras, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck, and warthog, small known shy Kik’sdikdik as well as Klipspringer along the ramps of the escarpment. Day 5: Lake Manyara National Park to NgoroNgoro Conservation Area
Wake up early for early breakfast, check out the hotel room, and depart Lake Manyara National Park for Ngoro Ngoro Crater. It will take less around two hours to reach the crater. Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most famous sites and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa.
